ROUVIDA RIVAL XPLR AXS 1 ROAD Performance
The ROUVIDA RIVAL XPLR AXS 1 ROAD brings Cervélo performance engineering to the electric road bike category. It combines a road-focused Rouvida configuration with the Fazua Ride60 drive system and SRAM Rival XPLR AXS electronic shifting. The result is a performance e-bike designed for riders who want responsive road handling with additional electric assistance.
Cervélo developed Rouvida around a flexible frame platform that can be configured for both road and gravel riding. Interchangeable dropouts significantly change the geometry, allowing the bike to provide road-bike handling in the road configuration.
Fazua Ride60 Electric Assistance
The ROUVIDA RIVAL XPLR AXS 1 ROAD uses the Fazua Ride60 motor, which delivers 60 Nm of torque. The system is paired with a 430 Wh battery and can provide assistance up to 28 mph. Fazua designed the Ride60 system to blend its power delivery with the rider’s pedaling input for a natural riding experience.
This integrated approach gives riders additional support on climbs, longer routes and demanding sections while retaining the character of a performance road bicycle.
SRAM Rival XPLR AXS Drivetrain
SRAM Rival XPLR AXS provides electronic shifting for the ROUVIDA RIVAL XPLR AXS 1 ROAD. The wireless AXS system keeps the cockpit clean while giving riders convenient electronic gear changes.
The XPLR platform is designed for riders who want a versatile gearing setup for changing gradients and road conditions. It also complements the Rouvida’s ability to move between road and gravel configurations.
Cervélo ROUVIDA Road Geometry
One of the defining features of the Rouvida platform is its interchangeable dropout system. Cervélo designed these dropouts to rotate the frame geometry and create different handling characteristics for road and gravel riding.
In the road configuration, the ROUVIDA RIVAL XPLR AXS 1 ROAD is designed to feel like a dedicated Cervélo road bike. The current road geometry is offered in sizes S, M, L and XL, with 700c wheels.
Integrated Electric Bike Design
Cervélo designed Rouvida so the motor and battery integrate into the overall shape of the bicycle. The company reoriented the battery during development and relocated the speed sensor to maintain the clean appearance associated with its performance bikes. Cervélo states that the battery orientation also saved 25 grams in wind-tunnel testing.
The bike includes a top-tube indicator panel with a USB charging port for lights or other accessories. Road Control places power and assistance controls in a natural position on the handlebar drop.
ROUVIDA RIVAL XPLR AXS 1 ROAD Tire Capability
The road configuration provides a performance-oriented setup while retaining useful tire flexibility. The current specification lists maximum actual tire width at 44 mm, giving riders room to select tires according to their roads and riding conditions.
This makes the Rouvida suitable for paved roads as well as routes that include rougher surfaces. Riders can select a tire setup that balances rolling speed, comfort and additional grip.
Electric Road Bike for Long Rides
The ROUVIDA RIVAL XPLR AXS 1 ROAD is designed for riders who want to extend their range and receive additional support during demanding rides. The 430 Wh battery works with the Fazua Ride60 motor to provide assistance when riders need it most.
The system can be particularly useful on long climbs and extended road routes. At the same time, the integrated design keeps the bike focused on the riding experience rather than making it feel like a conventional utility e-bike.
Road Performance and Versatility
Rouvida is different from a single-purpose electric road bike because the same frame platform can be configured for gravel riding. Cervélo’s interchangeable dropouts alter the geometry for the selected configuration. Changing the inserts requires the appropriate parts and a firmware update performed by a Cervélo retailer.
This gives the platform additional versatility for riders whose cycling interests extend beyond traditional road riding.
Current ROUVIDA RIVAL XPLR AXS 1 ROAD Price
